It all started in 2010…
Attic Brewing Company originated in 2010 when we started home brewing in our attic apartment in Philly’s historic Germantown neighborhood. Our first beer was a black IPA brewed from a kit that not only tasted great, but paired really well with Keebler’s fudge striped cookies. We were hooked!

Attic Brewing Co is a crowd funded brewery?
While Todd and Laura did invest $40,000 of their own money and received additional support from family and friends. Their major source of funding was the 311 investors who provided them with more than $184,000 through the WeFunder platform, which is based on the concept that investors will get a return on their investment. While most breweries in Philly likely started off on Kickstarter or GoFundMe for a donation based fundraiser, most of them didn’t surpass $30,000. They found WeFunder and learned more about equity crowdfunding, where people investing versus donating. The Lacys are committed to sharing 10 percent of their revenues with investors each quarter.


Do you offer outdoor seating?
Philly entered the yellow phase, and lifted restrictions on bars and restaurants so that outdoor seating is allowed! Our team will guarantee a clean, sanitized, and safe environment for you during your visit, but please do your part too! The taproom is open from Wednesday to Sunday from 2pm to 10pm.
