Did you know about these Philly Brewery Hidden Gems?

curated by @Phl_BeerDrinker

Hi Philly fam! Allow us to introduce ourselves – we’re Matt and Sam, founders of PBD, and a beer, food, and all things Philly loving couple. We started this account as a fun way to share our adventures, which are always centered on craft beer and having a good time.

Thank you to everyone that has followed along with us thus far – we love connecting and sharing with all of you! We appreciate all the support and look forward to bringing more content to the amazing local craft beer community, and sharing what this great city has to offer (stay tuned for official PBD merch)!

Here is a list of some hidden gem breweries you need to check out.

Meyers Brewing Co.

Right on popular Girard Avenue, and set in a 1880s carriage house, this brand new nano-brewery always welcomes you with their chill atmosphere and staff. Check this place out for a mid-week hang or Eagles Sunday (don’t forget your Brew Birds tee)!

Twisted Gingers Brewing

This neighborhood taproom is off the beaten path, nestled in the hills of Roxborough halfway between Main St. and Ridge Ave. Their beers vary in style, which is perfect for pairing with their delicious artisan pizza. The friendly staff also makes this hole in the wall a must visit.

Brewery ARS

An old auto body shop turned small garage brewery in South Philly with some damn good beer. Growler specials and cool staff keep the locals coming back. So good they’re opening a second location on Frankford Ave in Fishtown in 2022!

Punch Buggy Brewing

This friendly brewery serves some tasty rotating beers that will have you coming back. Some highlights include the long tables for easy group seating, projector for sports fans, local art, and trivia night. Also, it doesn’t hurt having other fine establishments nearby, including New Liberty Distilling and Original XIII Ciderworks. Bar crawl anyone?

Save for later
